A jury award is a decision made by a group of people, usually 12 individuals, who have been selected to serve on a jury in a court case. The role of the jury is to listen to evidence presented during a trial and then use their judgment to determine whether or not the defendant is guilty or innocent of the charges against them. In some cases, if the plaintiff can prove that they have suffered harm due to the actions or negligence of another person or entity, the jury may also be asked to decide on an appropriate amount of monetary damages that should be awarded to the plaintiff as compensation for their losses. This amount is known as a "jury award" and it represents the decision of the jury regarding the financial consequences of the defendant's actions or negligence.
